I do a lot of web surfing and come across many interesting sites. I actually subscribe to a few "cool sites of the day" e-mail programs that send me the addresses for some of these sites. Because of what I do, I am always looking at different graphics and how someone used color and content to create their own site. There are some really talented people out there.

I'm not sure how the final layout of this page is going to be, but this will have to do for now. I may eventually ad a "Just-in" category, so new links are easier for you to find, and may transfer some of these others to an archive page. Not quite sure just how long I want this page to get. Again, send me any feedback you may have. Each of these links worked when I tested them for the page. Let me know if you have problems with them.

Genealogy:
Family Tree Maker This is the web site for the makers of my genealogy software. Some pretty neat stuff. You can even do your own searches on various names.
Genealogy Gateway Although this looks like it is part of the above site, it is actually a site put together by another individual. The arrangement of the data and information may be more concise.

Information:
Discovery Channel On-Line If you enjoy the cable channel you'll enjoy this page. Lots of neat things.
National Archives and Research Administration This site has a genealogical section but I have included it under the information category. There are ongoing exhibits, historical as well as current information. Check it out.
National Geographics What else needs to be said. I have seen some very nice pieces done on different parts of the world. You may need to download some "helper apps" like RealAudio, Quicktime or Shockwave, so you can hear and see different things. Please, let me know if you have questions about any of these things or if I can help in any way. This is one of those sites which takes advantage of alot of the latest computer technology. Don't be afraid to explore. It's a great site.
Weather Channel Need to check out what's going to be happening later on this week? Are you traveling and want to know what to wear? This is the place folks, just like on TV.
My Virtual Desktop Need to find something quickly, here's a good place to start. This site also has some other features I'm sure you'll enjoy.

Fun Stuff:
Coloring Book This is for all the little relatives out there. I find the sooner you get your child involved with a computer the better. And, if it helps put some of the adults at ease with using this thing...enjoy.
Disney Not quite like being there but I've spent some time at this site.
Laugh-of-the-day Feeling blue? Need something to make you smile...even just a little? Yea, I've seen some so-so stuff here but other times I'll chuckle about it for days!
Nashua Pride Baseball Team OK, for all of you in Nashua, you can stop laughing now. I had to add this link. For those of you living outside of Nashua, this is how we spent alot of our days last July and August. It's a great night out, no TV, and it's a family thing (except when Diandre and Adria are off chatting with the bullpen or helping out some of the staff.)

Searching:
Google Internet Search Engine Need to find some information on the internet? Well, of all the search engines I have used, I like this one the best. No advertising, no fuss, etc. It is still in its BETA stage so I'm not sure what how it will turn out. I do know that alot of people like it and it has also been written up in numerous PC magazines.
MapQuest Going somewhere? Need to find a street or are just curious to see if your street or address can be mapped out? Betcha it can!
Song Lyrics You got to try this one out. I've used it countless times when I had some of the words to a song but didn't know the title. If you select the "Full Text" option you can search on phrases within the song. They used to include the actual lyrics but there have been some issues regarding "supposed" copyright infringements. Balderdash I say....

FYI:
Prepare for Y2K Doomsday? Who knows. Computer snafu's? Who knows. The owner of this site is not taking any chances. Are you?
Useless Knowledge Don't know what I can add to summarize this site. Perhaps you'll learn enough to go on Jeopardy or something. Want to know why bees buzz?
